Window Tinter Apprentice

Job Description

The role of the Window Tinter Apprentice is to be able tint any type of vehicle and/or assist with any architectural installation at a professional level once the apprenticeship is completed. Sound FX’s existing tinters, considered the best in the region, will be leading the learning and development of the apprentices. After 90-120 days, the apprentices will be sent to one of leading tint schools in the country, paid for by Sound FX, to further educate and develop into some more of the premier tinters on Delmarva. The ideal candidate must be open-minded, teachable, be able to accept constructive feedback, and be very team-orientated. Great attitudes and teamwork are the most important factors to being a part of the Sound FX team.

Duties and responsibilities during apprenticeship

• Assist the existing tinters with day to day operations
• Be aware and present to learn daily
• Be able to work basic computer and plotter programs for cutting tint
• Maintain a clean work environment

Duties and responsibilities after apprenticeship

• Be able to tint at a professional level and capable of completing quality tint jobs in a timely manner
• Be able to recommend films based on customers’ needs and circumstances
• Cross-sell and up-sell products and services
• Bring a positive attitude to work everyday
• Provide excellent customer service
• Greet customers in a timely, professional and engaging manner
• Ensure the team as a whole is successful by be willing and able to help other team members with shop projects and duties

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
• Ability to positively and proactively handle customer concerns
• Ability to quickly learn new procedures and processes
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of reliability, accountability and initiative

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 46 per week
